“Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you. Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out.”

And to those 90’s babies, if you knew Alanis Morissette’s song Ironic, you’d totally relate on the title of the article. As humans, one way or another, we ALL get or got to experience that BAD-ONE-F*CKED Day of all Days that sometimes, we still can’t even get over it. But in this life, I think we all deserve at least breakdown in life? Right?

Based on my other entries, this may be one of the most dispirited one — as I have said in beginning this blog; I will try to be as honest as possible.

If you remember in Physics class and even in sporting terms, Momentum is commonly used. A little refresher, momentum is simply defined as a mass in motion. So if an object has momentum, there is “power” that provides the movement, but if this stops, the object loses momentum and returns to a state of inertia.

I must admit that I have recently reached the point of losing all of my momentum. However, I wanted to share with all of you that I was able to discover a song that helped pull me up slowly. Maybe some of you can also listen, read the lyrics and may be able to uplift you some how. The song was beautifully written and sung by Jason Mraz.

“I Won’t Give Up”

When I look into your eyes
It’s like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there’s so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you’ve come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?Well, I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up

And when you’re needing your space
To do some navigating
I’ll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

‘Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We’ve got a lot to learn
God knows we’re worth it
No, I won’t give up

I don’t wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I’m here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got, yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you’re still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn’t break, we didn’t burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I’ve got, and what I’m not, and who I am

I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up, I’m still looking up.

Well, I won’t give up on us (no I’m not giving up)
God knows I’m tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We’ve got a lot to learn (we’re alive, we are loved)
God knows we’re worth it (and we’re worth it)

I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up.

Music has such a way to uplift the spirit.
